He has won twice in his last seven Grand Slam appearances.

Nadal has won 12 times in 35 Grand Slam appearances, a .343 winning percentage. He was won twice in his last seven Grand Slam appearances (he also missed two Grand Slams during that period).

I do not understand how you reached the conclusion that Djokovic is "gaining on" Nadal. The numbers show that Djokovic's Grand Slam career has been half as good as Nadal's and that their recent Grand Slam records are identical.

Furthermore, when Nadal is healthy there is no evidence that Djokovic has "surpassed" him. Nadal owns a 20-15 lead in their head to head encounters, including 4-1 in their last five matches.

Perhaps you meant to say that Murray is gaining on Djokovic. Murray has beaten Djokovic in two of the last three Grand Slam Finals in which they faced each other. He may add a French Open or two before he's done, but Djokovic is definitely gaining on him in the slam count and Djokovic and Murray have already surpassed him on the court (except on clay).DanielSong39noreply@blogger.com
